Draw & Payment Procedures
Procedure of Conducting the Draw
- The draw is conducted by mechanical method based on random technology.
- The process is made visibly transparent to viewers in the presence of judges appointed by the Government of Sikkim.
Procedure for Drawing Prize-Winning Tickets
- Winning numbers are drawn as per the prize structure shown above (Sl. No. 9).
- Numbers are generated by pressing the numeric control by officials of the Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries.
- Winning numbers are then displayed via the draw machine.
Prize Payment
- Taxable prizes: Prize money for taxable prize(s) is paid by the Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries, Gangtok.
- Eligibility: Only sold tickets on all serials and series are eligible for prizes under any rank.
- Non-taxable prizes (below Rs. 10,000/-): Paid directly by the agent/seller.
- If a winner wins prize money exceeding Rs. 10,000/- from multiple tickets, he/she must inform the retailer/seller while making the claim.
- In such cases, the prize must be claimed from the Government using the prescribed claim form. Retailers/sellers must not disburse prize money exceeding Rs. 10,000/- to any single winner.
Tickets & Distribution
- The number of tickets printed may be increased or decreased depending on market conditions, subject to approval by the Director of Sikkim State Lotteries (keeping within the maximum ticket limit of the scheme).
- Tickets are handed over to the distributor through a Delivery Note issued by the Directorate.
- The distributor must report details of unsold tickets before each draw to the Directorate.
Areas of Sale
Tickets are sold in the States of West Bengal, Punjab, Sikkim, Maharashtra, Meghalaya and Nagaland.
No tickets may be sold after the commencement of the draw or after reporting of unsold tickets by distributors/retailers. Unsold tickets are to be returned to the Directorate of Sikkim State Lotteries for adjustment.
